Cozy Loft Engagement
Getting ready for your spring engagement photos, but have no clue where you want to have them taken or what you’re going to wear? Something that is Fun, Flirty, and Full of Laughter. We’re here to help! Our engagement shoot inspiration is for the Couples that are looking for a more cozy and laid back engagement session.
The inspiration for this engagement shoot came from the idea of a cozy New York apartment. These couples weren’t looking for a normal engagement session, they weren’t concerned about the scenery or best location. Instead, they wanted something that was simple and natural. We were able to have 3 different couples take their engagement photos in the same location, allowing them to have their own personal touch in each photo. The idea was to capture these couples doing what they love to do in their cozy apartment. In-home sessions are such a great way to capture authentic, candid moments. One of my favorite memories of this engagement shoot was seeing the joy and love in these couples eyes!
Caleb and Melanie met through a mutual friend back in 2015 – Shoutout to that BFF! Their first date was at a fancy Mexican restaurant and was quickly followed by several more fun-filled dates around Los Angeles, including hiking, festivals, and lots of wineries. Caleb has always been great at planning dates! In December 2019, we took a stroll on the beach in Santa Monica. In fact, it was the same stroll we had taken back when they first started dating! A few feet from the famous Santa Monica Pier, on the white sand, he dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him. He had his family hiding behind the posts under the pier to take photos, and they had a cake and a bottle of bubbly to celebrate afterward. Melanie has no idea this was going to happen. The two had a vacation planned in Mexico a few weeks later, that she thought he would for sure propose on that trip. “It still doesn’t feel real. I get to marry my best friend, the love of my life and my favorite person in the world.” – Caleb
Megan and Allen have been together for 5.5 years and they are having the BEST time as Los Angeles wedding photographers! They both grew up in Florida and although they lived near one another, they never connected until college. They were long distance for a year which was difficult, but they definitely feel like it created the strength that their relationship possesses today. In August 2017, the two ventured across the country to start their life together back in Los Angeles. Megan and Allen enjoy hiking, playing board games (ask Allen ANYTHING about D&D), watching television, listening to podcasts and cooking together. They road trip when they can and eat wayyy too much Thai food. The pair’s draw to the stage and screen stems from their joy of storytelling. Megan and Allen have the honor and privilege of preserving your most treasured moments, and they can’t wait to tell your story!
Diana and Patrick met each other through a mutual friend at a Korean restaurant for yogurt soju happy hour. They started as friends and after a while through snap chatting, game nights, and romantic gestures, they began their relationship and they had their first date on July 4th, watching fireworks by the cliffside. They have now been dating for 4.5 years and love their adventurous traveling. They enjoy going snowboarding and cooking dinners for each other. Diana and Patrick look forward to the adventures that lie ahead of them and they are ready to journey through it together.
Above all, the architecture featured delicate and light details. The colors combined a fresh texture, but also an edgy touch. From the comfy bed, to the yummy chocolate chip cookies, all the details paired perfectly with the feel of a cozy New York apartment. Want to plan a cozy in-home couples or engagement session too!?
